“When they told me I had breast cancer, I wanted to say ‘why me?’ Then, I stopped and thought, ‘why not me?’ It can happen to anyone.
I’ve come for a mammogram for the past several years. It’s just what I do. The earlier you catch it, the better chance your doctors have of helping you. It’s best to take the necessary steps.
My husband, four daughters and five grandkids have been with me every step of the way. They always have a hug or a smile for me. God also put a great medical team in my life with Dr. Makhoul, Dr. Klimberg, Dr. Yuen and nurses Rachel and Donna. They’ve been like friends, and I really appreciate that.
Now, I’m looking forward to taking life one day at time. I never lost faith. If this is God calling, He will give me the strength to answer. I thank God for my strength and courage and for my family. I can’t thank Him enough.”
