“My friends and family formed my support group while I was undergoing treatment for breast cancer. They planned a meal train and created a Facebook page. They took care of my every need and truly walked each step with me.
The other half of my support group were the nurses in the infusion clinic. I actually started looking forward to seeing them.
Having cancer is difficult, but everything will be OK. I have gotten a new perspective. It has allowed me to rethink my path and change my focus. I don’t take anything for granted now. Each step has been made possible by my team of doctors and my family. They helped me have a new lease on life.
I felt happy and optimistic about my Seed of Hope ceremony! I was a bit worried at the end, wondering if my doctor would say I had to wait another week. Thankfully, that was not the case. It was perfect having my support group there with me. They were with me every step of the way.”
